The quality of PU steel wire hose is related to production safety. So how to test the quality of PU steel wire hose? Without any testing tools and testing conditions, we can roughly identify the quality of PU steel wire hose based on vision, smell, touch and other senses.
Visual observation
1. Observe whether the inner diameter of PU steel wire hose is regular and whether the wall thickness is uniform. The inner diameter and outer periphery of high-quality PU steel wire hose are standard circles, and the annular wall is evenly distributed.
2. The wall of high-quality PU steel wire hose is crystal clear and free of any impurities. The color of inferior PU steel wire hose is yellowish, which may be caused by decomposition, aging, or long-term improper storage due to improper handling during the production process. Observe the color, the surface of PU tube made of new material has a natural bright color and feels very smooth.
Smell
High-quality PU steel wire tube has no smell of any other petrochemical products except a little plastic smell. Inferior PU steel wire tube has an unpleasant and pungent diesel smell, especially in the hot summer, people can’t get close. Whether it is industrial-grade or food-grade PU hose, the inner and outer walls are smooth and feel good, while low-quality tubes are rough.
The structure of PU steel wire hose is that the steel wire is embedded in the inner wall of the hose. A good quality tube should be tightly embedded without gaps, leaving no room for air, water and other substances to enter. If the steel wire of the PU steel wire hose is not embedded tightly enough, it is easy for water and air to enter. Under the dual effects of water and air, the copper-plated steel wire will rust. If this happens, the friction between the hose and the tube wall will increase. It is easy to cause unnecessary damage to the tube wall. This will greatly affect the service life of the PU steel wire hose.
