In the rubber hose production or rubber processing, vulcanization is an important procedure and you need a press culcanizer to do such work.
The main parameters of press vulcanizer include nominal tonnage, press plate size, working stroke and plunger diameter. These indicators determine the area, height, thickness and pressure of the products that can be molded by the press. The mold can be divided into negative, positive and semi-positive. The procedure includes charging, mold closing, gas exhausting, solidification, ejection and mold cleaning. The main control factors are pressure, temperature and pressing time. Compression molding is a very important forming method in rubber industry. Cut the rubber material into simple shape and add into the mold, then forming and vulcanizing in the meantime. Many rubber products like seal gasket, rubber ring and rubber sheet are made with such method.
After knowing the press vulcanizer, let’s talk about the operation procedure.
1.Check the hydraulic oil amount. The height of hydraulic oil should be 2/3 of the lower engine base and add oil if there is oil shortage. Filtrate the oil finely before charging.

3.Plug in and put the operation handle into the vertical position and make the oil returning opening closed. Press the motor start button, the oil from the oil pump enters the oil cylinder and drives the plunger to rise. When the hot plate is closed, the oil pump continues to supply oil, and when the oil pressure rises to the rated value (14.5MPa), press the registration stop button to make the machine It is in the state of shutdown and pressure maintenance (i.e. timed vulcanization). When the vulcanization time is reached, move the handle to lower the plunger to open the mold.
4.The temperature control of hot plate. Put the forming mold on the hot plate and close the rotary button SA1, then the plate starts to heat. When the temperature of the plate reaches the preset vulcanization temperature, the heating will automatically stop. When the temperature is lower than the set value, the plate automatically heats up to keep the temperature at the set value.
5.Press vulcanizer control. Press the start button SB2 and the oil pump works. Elevate the clamping pressure and when the hydraulic press reach the set value, release the pressure for 1 or 2 times to exhaust the air. Then compress the mold and record the vulcanize time. When the pressure drops, the oil pump motor starts to automatically compensate the pressure and reaches the set curing time. The beeper beeps to inform that the curing time has come, and the mold can be opened.
If there is any problem during the vulcanize procedure, the quality of products will be affected badly. So make sure the vulcanizing work operated with the correct method and procedure.
