This means the length when the hose is compressed to the extreme position. Then the second is the installation length. This is the length of the hose in the middle position of the max displacement. While the third type is the stretch length. It is the length when the hose is stretched to its max limit.

When you install a flexible stainless steel tubing, keep it in the middle position. As for the connection method, it can be flange, threaded type, etc. When installed in this position, the hose can move in two directions when subjected to axial load. Otherwise, if it can only move in one direction, it will affect the strength of the metal pipe. Besides, it will reduce the service life.
