Plunger type extruder
Plunger type extruder originates in 18th century. The manual plunger type extruder made by Joseph Bramah in 1795 to produce seamless lead pipe is regarded as the first extruder in the world. Screw type extruder
Appeared in 1870, it is a hot feed extruder. It requires the rubber material cooked and the charge should be even, uniform and stable. In the meantime, the temperature of rubber material should keep in 50℃-70℃.
Screw type extruder can extrude constantly and easy to operate. Besides, it has high production efficiency with stable type of finished products. It’s to extrude hoses, wires and other rubber products.
Normal type extruder
Cold feed extruder appeared in 1940s but became the mainstream in 1980s. To 1990s, about 95% of all the products came from cold feed extruder.
Cold feed exhaust extruder
It originated in 1956 by the vacuum screw extruder design. The screws include feed section, compress/throttle, exhaust section and extrude section. The throttle use shallow slot and equal distance and depth screw making rubber material conveyor smooth and stable. Besides, It improve the exhaust effect.
Pin type extruder
In the exploration of extruding technology, people began to research and study pin technology. Insert the pins into the thread groove and stir the rubber material.
The rubber material becomes a melt and flows in the screw thread at a low shear rate, gradually forming a continuous viscous fluid. This destroys the laminar flow and agglomeration of the rubber material during the extrusion process and breaks the rubber block. It achieves the effect of good plasticization, low glue temperature as well as energy saving simplifies the production process.
